The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to an unforeseen closure of schools for months with no clarity as to when normal classes can be resumed. Confined in their homes due to the pandemic, the special children of Partner are deprived of their usual outlet for self-expression at school. But for Partner this closure has not been a moment to pause, instead, we are reaching out to our special children virtually. To ensure that our children remain engaged, the trainers are communicating with the students through video calls. The trainers’ intimate knowledge of the children and their inclinations is coming in handy during the lockdown. The trainers are encouraging children to continue their chosen activities at home. The children are also being encouraged to be constructive and use their creative talents to fill up the long idle hours at home. Our children are creating artistic paintings, choreographing dance performances, and even assisting their families during these troubled times.
